- This is my 16th year as an educator, my 8th year teaching Gifted Education, and my 6th year at Plato Academy.
- I’m a native Floridian but have traveled extensively. I lived in Gothenburg, Sweden between 1987 and 1995, speak fluent Swedish, and have travelled throughout Europe and South America.
- Before becoming a mother in 2001 and an educator in 2005, I was an international shipping executive working ports in Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL and a Land Use Planner for the State of New Mexico in Santa Fe specializing in alternative energy and waste water systems.
- My bachelor’s degree is in University Studies from the University of New Mexico and my master’s degree is in English Education from the University of South Florida.
- I am certified in Elementary Education K-6 with ESOL and Gifted Endorsements.
- Cooking, gardening, and sailing are my favorite hobbies. I live on Tierra Verde Island with my dog Peach, cats Zoomer and Nepata, my husband Brian and my daughter Olivia who is 20 years old and a Senior at USF - GO BULLS!
